How to Import PSD Into Fireworks

Create dynamic graphics using Fireworks tools.

The Adobe product line includes a number of presentation tools, including the graphic editors Illustrator, Photoshop and Fireworks. PSD is the default output format for Photoshop files. Adobe products communicate with each other on various levels. Fireworks can import a number of formats including HTML, Flash and PSD. Import your PSD using Fireworks versatile interface.

Instructions

1. Launch Fireworks and open your file. If necessary, create a new file by selecting "File" and "New." Set the document size information and click "OK."

2. Select "File" and "Import." Choose your PSD file and click "Open." The cursor changes to an insert icon.

3. Click on the screen location where you want the image and drag. Release the mouse to place the image.
