If you're a cartoonist, scrapbooker or just interested in drawing, then you may want to learn how to draw a banner. Banners can be used for all types of events from party scenes, as decorative title pages or for a ribbon holding a bouquet.

Instructions

    • 1

Draw two parallel curved lines. The length of the lines will determine how long the banner will be.

    • 2

Connect both ends of the parallel lines with a vertical line.

    • 3

Draw a short vertical line extending up from the top line of the banner, starting just inside either corner.

    • 4

Connect the corners of the banner to the top of the short vertical line with a diagonal line.

    • 5

Draw a quarter circle outward from halfway up the edges of the banner. From the top of the short vertical lines draw a curved line parallel to the quarter circles.

    • 6

Connect the ends of the curved lines with a sideways V-shape. Round all of the corners.

Tips & Warnings

  • Shade the banner either with a pencil or colored pencils to add dimension.
