The Ouija Board is believed to be a magical device used to contact spirits we can't see with our eyes. The Ouija Board, often called the spirit or talking board, is used for seeking occult, or hidden, knowledge. The wooden board is equipped with letters of the alphabet, numbers 0 to 9, yes, no, maybe and goodbye. With a Ouija Board, you can get messages from those who passed away. There are a few things to keep in mind if you would like to contact a spirit of your choice through a Ouija Board.

Prepare the room for the use of the Ouija Board. Lighting white candles will allow you and others to be protected. Burning lavender incense will attract good spirits, and burning frankincense will protect you from bad spirits.

Set the Ouija Board on a table or other flat and stable surface. Have a pen or pencil and paper ready for writing down questions and answers from the spirits. Do not use the Ouija Board alone. Invite two or more friends to the table with you.

Place your fingers lightly on the planchette, or pointing device. Clear your mind. Picture the person you want to contact and focus on specific questions.

Ask simple yes or no questions to start the session. It requires a lot of energy for the spirits to make contact with you. Yes or no questions require the least amount of effort.

Check responses given on the Ouija Board by repeating the same question. If possible, check sources to see if the answers match up correctly.
