Instructions

    • 1

Measure out 1/2 teaspoon each of spices of your choice into a small bowl. Use herbs and spices that complement each other. For example, dried garlic, thyme and onion will enhance your popcorn with a savory flavor. If you want a sweeter flavor, try a mild Hungarian paprika mixed with sweet basil. Oregano has a strong, earthy flavor, but pairs well with basil as well. If you want your popcorn to have a little kick to it, try mixing 1/2 teaspoon each of several different types of chili powders. To balance the flavor of the chili, add dried parsley, celery seed or basil. And for a sweet mixture, combine caster sugar with cinnamon or vanilla powder. If you have favorite spices that you like and others that you don't like, don't be afraid to experiment. You can also use less of some herbs and spices and more of others, to suit your tastes.
