Disconnect any accessories from the pool including the filter pump, any hoses and the ladder. Some hoses unscrew by hand from the pool, while others may require a screwdriver to loosen the screws securing the hoses. Some ladders lift off the pool, while others are secured and may require a screwdriver for removal.

2
Set the accessories in the sun to dry thoroughly before storing.

Insert the drain plug into the drain valve, usually located inside of the pool.

Insert the plugs into the outlet and inlet valves where the filter pump hoses connect into the pool.

Remove the supports from the liner or sides. On soft-sided the pools, the connections are sometimes inside the liner and snap apart. On hard-sided pools, the connections may require a screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws.
