Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • Newsreader Programs
  1. Step 1

Open your newsreader (such as Outlook Express, Netscape Communicator or any other newsreader application you're using).

  2. Step 2

Look for a menu command that lets you download a listing of new newsgroups that have been added since your last newsgroup download. This menu command could be Refresh List, Reset List, New Newsgroups and so on.

  3. Step 3

When the new newsgroups have been downloaded, you can subscribe to any that interest you.

Tips & Warnings
  • Many Internet service providers don't subscribe to all newsgroups. You might find the one you're looking for through a different ISP.
