The profile picture is as wide as the left column.

Your Facebook profile picture is the picture your friends see next to your status updates and when they visit your profile page. It appears on the top-left corner of your profile page, and the size it appears is determined by Facebook. While looking at your profile, the profile picture cannot exceed the width of the left column. In order to see the picture larger, you must open it in the Facebook photo viewer.

      Click the profile picture to open the "Profile Pictures" album.

      Scroll through the album to find the current profile picture, or the one you want to see larger. The current profile picture is usually the first one in the album, displayed at the top-left of the folder.

      Click the photo to open that photo in the photo viewer.

    • 4

      Click the "X" at the top-right of the photo viewer to close it.
