How to Get Lots of Exp in "Black Ops"
In Treyarch's "Call of Duty: Black Ops," experience points, exp or XP, help you level up. Your XP is added to a cumulative total, and at various benchmarks your character reaches unlocks in-game gear. The more XP points you get, the faster you can unlock and use the game's full range of weapons, and you also unlock character customization options like face paint, gun camo, clan tags and sight recticle color options. There are a few ways to maximize your XP during gameplay in "Black Ops."
Instructions
-
Score Per Minute Data
-
1
Play between five to ten games in each game mode. As you play in different "Black Ops" game modes, your progress is saved for review. With a few games under your belt, you can use this data to determine which game mode you excel in.
-
2
Log into your "Black Ops" online account on your PC, PS3 or Xbox 360.
-
-
3
Navigate to the "leaderboards" section with your joystick or mouse.
-
4
Compare the "Score Per Minute" column on the leaderboard for each separate game mode. The score listed here represents your XP in that game mode. Every player has different in-game strengths and weaknesses. For example, some gamers might score higher in Free For All than in Team Deathmatch. Whichever game mode has the highest "Score Per Minute" should be your focus from now on. You'll get the most XP if you stick to a high-scoring game mode.
Bonus XP Options
-
5
Navigate the the "Challenges" section. "Black Ops" players complete in-game challenges for XP bonuses, and the progress appears in this menu. If you are close to completing a challenge, such as a predetermined number of kills with a certain weapon, proactively try to complete the challenge for your bonus.
-
6
Purchase in-game contracts using your "COD Points." These points are acquired through online gameplay or as rewards for completing contracts. Many contracts give an XP reward along with a COD point reward.
-
7
Play extra on "Double XP Weekends." These weekends celebrate special holidays or newly released "Black Ops" downloadable content, such as new map packs. When "Double XP Weekends" are happening, players get twice as much XP in every game mode.
