The National Consumer Panel collects data from products you buy.

The National Consumer Panel (NCP) consists of people throughout the United States from all demographics who uses barcode scanners to scan their purchases. The information is recorded in the NCP database, and then passed along to retailers and manufacturers. Panelists must also complete a weekly survey, after which they are rewarded with gift points redeemable for name brand merchandise. If you are an NCP member, you must log into the website weekly with your panelist ID number to complete your surveys. If you lost your panelist ID number, you can retrieve the number without much effort.
