How to List on Craiglist
Craigslist is a nationwide online advertising source. You can list anything on Craigslist including job openings, items for sale and personal ads. The only requirement for listing or posting on Craigslist is that you set up an account with a valid email address so others on the site can communicate with you. Once you set up your account, you can post suitable items and information on Craigslist. You may incur fees for posting in certain categories and areas.

Navigate to the Craigslist website and click on the state and city in which you want to list your posting. Craigslist only permits you to post to one location at a time.

Locate and click the "Post to Classifieds" in the left column. Click "Apply for Account" in the top right corner, which takes you to the account sign-up page.

Enter your email address and verification word in the corresponding boxes and click "Create Account." Check your email for the link to activate your account. Click the link from you email, which takes your to the Web page for entering your password.

Enter a password of six or more characters in the required field and re-type your password for verification. Click "Submit Password and Log In."

Read the terms of use and click "I Accept" to indicate your agreement to the conditions of use. If you click "I Decline," it automatically discontinues the account set up.

Locate the category relating to your posting and click the circle next to the category. Follow the instructions to complete your post. Enter your posting title, specific location, posting description and whether you want your "reply to" email address to be visible or anonymous. The anonymous email address appears to other uses as sale-xxxxxxxxxxx@craigslist.org but sends any responses to your email address.

Add any images and click "Continue." Review the listing and click "Continue" to post your listing. Go to your email and wait to receive the link to publish, edit or delete your listing.
