How to Make Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs for Peeling
As easy as it sounds to boil eggs, the truth is that hard boiled eggs are very delicate to make and can be affected by a number of things that make them nearly impossible to peel without damaging the egg. It is important to use eggs that you've had for awhile, as fresh eggs are harder to peel no matter how well you cook them. Let the large eggs sit out until they are at room temperature. Place them into a large saucepan and add enough cold water to cover them by one inch.

Bring the water to a boil. As soon as it begins boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat and place the lid on the top.

Allow the eggs to sit in the saucepan for 15 minutes.

Transfer the eggs to a large mixing bowl that has been filled with ice water. The ice water will allow the eggs to separate from the membrane between the egg and the shell easier, making for easier peeling.

Let the eggs sit in the cold water until they are cool to the touch.
