How to Get Your Sim to Have Twins
While the Sims characters in "The Sims 2" and "The Sims 3" give birth to twins occasionally, you can force them to have twins. One advantage to having twins is that you can help a Sim achieve a lifetime want of having a particular number of children, a common goal for family-oriented Sims in "The Sims 2." Raising twins requires the same type of care as raising a single child. Each child needs her own bed, though twins can share changing tables, toys, high chairs and potty training seats.

Click on one of the Sims' inventory. It doesn't matter if the parent is male or female. Click on the personal aspiration awards tab. Click on the icon next to the pictures. Put four points into the family column to activate twins.

Click on a double bed and instruct both Sims to "Relax." Click on one of the Sims and click "Try for Baby." If you don't have the family aspiration option on, hold down the "Control," "Shift" and C" keys. Type the cheat code "forcetwins" into the box and press "Enter," according to Games Radar. Listen for lullaby notes (make sure the computer's sound is on). If the notes play, the female is pregnant. To make a baby in a hot tub, instruct both Sims to climb inside of the tub. If the Sims aren't next to each other, click on one and choose "Move." Choose the option to "Cuddle," and then to try for a baby.

Click on the "Buy" mode icon. Purchase two cribs. The babies can share everything else. When the female Sims gives birth, type in the names of the twins in the pop-up box.

Open the lifetime rewards menu for the potential twin mother.

Purchase the "Fertility Treatment" option from the list of purchasable awards for 10,000 reward points.

Instruct a male and female Sim to relax on a double bed or in a hot tub. Click on the avatar of one of the Sims. Click on the other Sim and instruct the characters to try to have a baby. If the Sims are in a hot tub, tell them to cuddle first. If you don't have the fertilty option purchased, hold down "Control," "Shift" and "C." Type "forcetwins" and press "Enter."
