How to Make Massage Oils With Potpourri Floating in the Bottle
Adding potpourri to a bottle of massage oil creates a visually appealing look and a therapeutic product, since the oil contains moisturizing benefits for the skin. Massage oils are applied to the skin for lubrication and to induce relaxation during a massage. Essential oils are usually added to the bottle for their aromatherapy properties. Fill the glass bottle with 1 to 2 tsp. of potpourri, such as dried lavender or marigold blossoms.

Pour carrier oil, such as olive, avocado, grapeseed or jojoba oils, into the glass bottle, leaving 1 inch of room at the top of the bottle.

Add 5 to 6 drops of essential oil to the glass bottle. Choose essential oils that compliment the potpourri, such as chamomile oil for the dried lavender or grapefruit oil for the marigold blossoms.

Close the glass bottle with the cork and shake well to distribute the oils and potpourri.

Store and use the massage mixture within 5 to 6 months before it turns rancid.
