How to Center a Google Map
When you input two addresses into the Google Maps online utility, your Web browser displays street-by-street directions between the two points. The map on the right side of the screen allows you to scroll over this virtual map, zoom in and out and adjust properties at will. If you want to center a Google Map you can do so with the click of a button. This will expand the map to show the entire route on screen at once. Does this Spark an idea?

Open your Web browser and load Google's "Maps" site.

Click "Get Directions." Type the two addresses you are trying to navigate between into the boxes on screen. Click "Get Directions" again to create a route between the two directions.

Zoom in or out on various points of the map using the vertical slider bar on the left side of the main map window. When you create a map it is automatically centered, so the only way to center it again is if you make adjustments to the way the map is currently being viewed.

Click the small "Hand" icon in between the four arrows in the upper-left corner of the window. This will center the Google Map, displaying the entire route on screen at one time.
