How to Deactivate a RocketMail Account
RocketMail can be deactivated using the same steps to cancel a Yahoo or Ymail account. When you deactivate a RocketMail account, any associated applications you are using with RocketMail also will be deactivated. For example, your Hot Jobs, profile, Yahoo! Groups or finance portfolio will no longer operate. Inform your current contacts that your RocketMail account will no longer operate so they can email you at an alternate account.

Navigate to Yahoo's cancellation Web page. Alternatively, log in to your RocketMail (Yahoo) mail account and click "Help." Type "Cancel" in the "Search Help" field, click "Search Help" and an article will appear for "How do I close my Yahoo account." Open the article and click the blue "Account Termination" hyper-link.

Log into your RocketMail account by inputting your RocketMail email address and password.

Input your password when prompted as confirmation that you would like to deactivate your RocketMail account. Copy the security code provided by Yahoo into the required field to ensure your account is not being accessed by a computer (spam bot). Click "terminate this account." The account will deactivate and can no longer be accessed.
