How to Use Ping on a Mac
The ability to ping a server may be important to you if you are a network administrator or simply a home user troubleshooting a network problem. You can perform a ping on a Mac with the computer's terminal. The terminal is a command-line shell with which you can enter text commands without having to use the Mac's graphical user interface.
