How to Set Up Skype Audio/Video on My Computer
Skype is a free chatting software that you can use to voice and video chat with other people on the Internet. To voice chat, you will need a microphone and speakers or a computer headset. To video chat, you will need a webcam installed on your computer. Once these devices are installed, you can configure your settings from the Skype options menu within the program.

Launch Skype on your computer.

Click "Tools" from the top toolbar, then click "Options."

Click "General Settings" to expand the general menu.

Click "Audio Settings" to view the audio configuration.

Select your default microphone and speaker settings from the drop down menus. When you have the correct settings, you will see the volume bar under both microphone and speaker fluctuate with your microphone input and speaker output.

Click "Video Settings" to view the video configuration.

Select your video device from the "Select Webcam" drop-down menu. You will see the image that your webcam is currently capturing.

Click "Webcam Settings" and use the adjustment tools to change the webcam brightness and contrast.

Click the "Save" button to save your audio and video configurations.
