How to Change Root Permissions in OpenSuse
Users are categorized into groups with different levels of system access and permission on Linux and Unix-based systems such as OpenSuse, with the "root" user having overall access to everything on the system. If you read instructions that want to do something with root permissions, this means you have to add a command to change to root before the main command.
