Instructions

    • 1

Print a skeleton craft template on your printer, or draw our own with a pencil and paper using the simplified drawing as guidance.

    • 2

Glue the template or drawing to a thin piece of cardboard, like the back of a cereal box.

    • 3

Cut out each section with scissors following the cut lines. Lay the pieces on a clean, dry table face up.

    • 4

Punch a hole near the ends of each bone, or where indicated on the template using a hole punch.

    • 5

Place the skull over the chest, and overlap the holes on each piece. Insert a bracket through the hole with the flat side on the front. Bend back the back closers so they are tight enough to keep the pieces together, but not too tight that you can't move the head.

    • 6

Connect the body beginning with the arms to the shoulders so the thumbs are on the inside. Align the pelvis to the bottom of the spine and attach them with a single bracket. Attach both upper thighs so the hips point are angled inward, and the lower legs and feet to the knee joints.

    • 7

Measure the skeleton's head with a ruler and draw a fitted pointed hat with a wide brim on black construction paper. Cut out the hat and glue it to the top of the skeleton's head.

    • 8

Lay the skeleton over a piece of black tissue paper for the cape. Cut out a rectangle long enough to extend from the skeleton's shoulders to ankles and wide enough to go behind the skeleton and wrap around its shoulders. Glue the top ends of the cape together so the cape doesn't fall off. Fold back the bottom corners so it doesn't conceal the skeleton's lower body.

    • 9

Punch a hole in the top of the skull and thread a length of yarn through. Tie the ends of the yard to a hook and hang the skeleton witch.
