How to Draw a Scary Dog
There are different dogs to draw. To draw a scary dog, choose a breed of dog that looks especially scary. Important details such as extra-sharp teeth and claws help to create a scary effect. Exaggeration of these details also can help, even if it is not exactly realistic.

Want to draw a scary pug? Then this reference photo might work for you. Decide what kind of dog you want to draw. Look up and print a reference photo of that dog.

This dog is ready for his close-up. Put your image under a piece of tracing paper. Trace the shape of the head and the body. Continue to trace the facial features, but trace these lightly. They should include the eyes, nose, mouth and teeth.

Draw over the lightly drawn mouth a little harder and exaggerate it. Make the mouth bigger. Draw lots of sharp teeth. Don't be afraid to make them ridiculously large and sharp. Draw drool dripping out of its mouth.

Sharp claws are scary and intimidating. Continue to exaggerate your original trace by drawing over the original claws. Add extra long and sharp claws to your drawing.

This is human expresion of anger, but it will work well in a drawing. Draw over the eyes to make them look angrier. Make the upper eyelids point downward toward the nose. Create mean-looking eyebrows going in the same downward direction toward the nose.
