How to Remember My Anniversary
Your anniversary is a special occasion that gives you a reason to observe the union with your partner on an annual basis. From enjoying a private dinner at your favorite restaurant to planning a week-long vacation on the islands, it deserves to be celebrated. If you're guilty of forgetting this monumental event, learn a few ways to keep this special event forever in your mind.

1
Make use of technology to remind you each year. Set the date in your phone or computer's calendar and adjust the event to remind you a few days in advance so you're not running around at the last minute to plan. Most electronics systems are universal so you can transfer the data as you upgrade to new equipment. Set the reminder as a recurring event so you're not challenged with setting a reminder each year.

2
Let everyone in your inner circle know. Ask for their assistance in remembering your big day so you can be prepared for hosting anniversary dinners or buying a gift. Spreading the word among your friends will help keep that date prominent in your life.

Remember it with word and date association. It would be harder to forget your anniversary if it shares a date with a holiday. Consider associating a series of words, phrases and dates with your anniversary. It could be something as simple as you remembering your anniversary is on October 24 because it's a full week before Halloween or that you got married on August 8th in 2008--08.08.08--making it easier to know that each year it's the eighth day in the eighth month.

Tattoo it on your body. If you're a fan of permanent body art, tattoo the numbers of your anniversary in a convenient location on your body.
