How to Stack Mouldings
There are thousands of different profiles in moulding, but most have one thing in common; they all have a top and bottom side. Typically the top is physically wider or bigger than the bottom, or the profile is round at the top and flat at the bottom. If you attempt to stack moulding this way it leans in one direction and topples over. Use a trick they use in the industrial moulding plants, alternate the moulding before stacking it.
Instructions

-
1
Lay four pieces of moulding flat on the floor on their backs, parallel to each other and touching each other.
-
2
Pick up the next four pieces of moulding and revolve them 180 degrees.
-
-
3
Lay them one at a time on top of the pieces that you placed on the ground. The profiles will mate with each other; the larger top of the profile on the top piece will fit down inside the smaller bottom of the profile of the bottom piece.

Stack the moulding in this fashion until you have a stack that is 10 inches high. Place flat sticks perpendicular across the stack every 36 inches and begin another stack on top, sandwiching the perpendicular sticks.

Tips & Warnings
The dimensions here are for examples. If you have hundreds or thousands of pieces of moulding, make the stacks wider.
Don't stack moulding over 48 inches in height unless you are positive that it cannot fall over, depending on the stye of moulding.
