How to Put a Song on My Tumblr

Tumblr is a simplified blogging platform that puts ease of use over more complicated features. One of the post types that Tumblr allows users to publish is an audio post. This post type lets you upload or link to an MP3 song file and type a description of the song before you publish it. You can put a song on your Tumblr by following a few steps.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Tumblr account at Tumblr.com.

2. Click the "Audio" button at the top of the Tumblr dashboard page to create an audio post.

3. Upload an MP3 song file by clicking the "Choose File" button. Select your song from its location on your hard drive and click "Open." If the song that you want to put on your Tumblr post is already online, click the "External source" tab and enter the URL for the MP3 in the provided box.

4. Type a description of your song into the "Description" box.

5. Click the "Create Post" button to publish your song in a Tumblr blog post.
