How to Make a Hershey Kiss Wreath

Hersey's Kisses are widely recognized foil-wrapped, chocolate candies that the Hershey Co. has been producing since 1907. The company markets the candy widely throughout the year, but you are apt to see an abundance of bags in the stores during various holiday seasons. If you love the scent of chocolate or want to give a gift to a fellow chocoholic, you can make a Hershey's Kiss wreath to hang up for the season.

  • 3 bags Hersey's Kisses candies, 12 oz.
  • 2 colors of aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Create the Base

    • 1

Cut six 6-inch strips of both colors of aluminum foil.

    • 2

Wrap the foil around the craft foam ring, alternating colors and attach the ends of the foil to the back of the ring with glue.

    • 3

Overlap the ends so the white foam does not show.

    • 4

Staple a 10-inch piece of floral wire in an arc on the back of the wreath to hang the wreath.

    Add the Kisses

    • 5

Spread a thin layer of glue on the bottom of the candies and place them close together on the foil-covered wreath. Arrange three pieces of one color of candy in a line, three pieces of the other color in a line and continue this pattern until you make your way around the entire ring.

    • 6

Leave a small section open at the bottom of the ring to place the bow.

    • 7

Tie a 3-inch wide ribbon in a large bow and place a nickel-sized dot of glue on the back of the center of the bow. Press the bow onto the open section of the wreath.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the wreath is for Christmas, use green and red candies. Pink and silver candies are suitable for Easter wreaths.

  • Cut a 14-inch round piece of craft foam in the shape of heart, wrap with red foil and cover with red and white Hersey's Kisses for a sweet Valentine's treat.

  • Use one color of aluminum foil to create a bold, shimmering background for the wreath.

  • Allow the glue to dry at least 12 hours before hanging.

  • The candies on the wreaths are for decorative purposes only. You should not consume the candies because glue could contaminate the candy if it penetrates the foil wraps.
