How to Sterilize a Feces Covered Yard
Feces that have covered a yard for a long time will damage the lawn and make the yard unsanitary. This is why it's important to properly clean and dispose of the feces to make the yard sterile again. There are various methods and tools for disposing of feces from a yard, but the majority of tools sold specifically as "pooper-scooper" type products are difficult and inefficient to use. Things You'll Need
- Rubber gloves
- Lobby dust pan
- Small rake
- Trash bag
- Bleach
- Bucket
- Garden hose

Put on rubber gloves. This will prevent your hands from becoming dirty and possibly contracting any bacteria from the feces.

Scoop up all the poop into the lobby dust pan and small rake. Place the feces in the trash bag.

Mix 2 parts bleach to 100 parts water in a bucket. For an easy-to-mix ratio, pour 1/3 cup bleach to 1 gallon water.

Pour a small amount of bleach over the areas where the feces were. Leave the bleach solution for 10 minutes to ensure the surfaces are disinfected. Remove the solution by spraying the surface with water from the garden hose. Let the surface dry for 24 hours so the smell of the bleach solution will evaporate.
