How to Date a Drama Queen
Drama queens are people who love emotional highs and lows. They also love attention and will, therefore, go out of their way to create drama in their relationships, friendships and workplaces in order to get more attention. Drama, however, is not very nice for everyone around the drama queen. If you find yourself dating a drama queen, you need to be patient and proactive in making it clear that unnecessary drama is not acceptable.

Set clear boundaries as to how much drama you are willing to take from her. You should make sure she is aware of these boundaries. If a different drama every day is too much for you, you need to tell her this. If these terms are't acceptable to her, let her know that she can date someone else.

Listen to her when she has a dramatic episode. You don't need to participate or offer advice, as drama queens often just need to get things off their chests. So, if you want to happily date a drama queen, you need to accept that you should listen to her when she has a problem, which will be often.

Tell her she's being unreasonable when she is being unreasonable. You don't have to be cruel, but rather, tell her in an honest manner or by lightly teasing her. While listening is key for dating a drama queen, you also need to tell her when she's being unreasonably dramatic.

Be calm when she is being dramatic. If you are also dramatic, you will just feed off one another, thus making the situation even worse. So, if she is yelling, screaming or generally causing drama, you need to be patient and calm so that it doesn't get worse.

Change the subject and move on as quickly as you can whenever she is being overly dramatic. It's not helpful for you to bring it up later and add fuel to the fire.

End the relationship if dating a drama queen is making you unhappy. If she is too dramatic for you, then she should be looking for someone who can handle her drama; you, on the other hand, should be looking for someone less dramatic.
