How to Get eBay Tokens for Auctiva
The eBay token system is a program developed by eBay that allows third-party businesses, such as Auctiva, to access eBay on behalf of its members. Although Auctiva uses the member's identification and password to enter the eBay site, the eBay token system ensures this information is kept encrypted and secure. By using this system, Auctiva can then host photos, provide templates and various other types of services for eBay members who are also members of Auctiva.

Log onto the Auctiva website with your Auctiva user name and password. This will bring up the Auctiva home page.

Place your mouse over "My Account." Click "eBay" under the "Settings" menu. You may also sometimes see a warning notice in orange on the top portion of the Auctiva home page stating you need to generate an eBay token. If this link appears when you first log on, you can simply click the warning to be directed to eBay.

Click the "Generate eBay token" link. This will take you to an eBay page where eBay will ask if you wish to allow Auctiva access to your account.

Log into your eBay account with your eBay user name and password. Auctiva and eBay will connect and generate the token. Confirm you agree to allow Auctiva access and wish to continue. Once the connection is complete, you will be directed back to Auctiva.
