How to Post Photos on SkyscraperCity
SkyscraperCity is an online forum. According to the website, the forum has a membership equivalent to a medium-sized city. This is an appropriate analogy for a forum dedicated to urban development issues. Forum topics cover discussions of skyscraper projects and urban planning in many parts of the world, including Asia and the Middle East. Topic posters cannot directly upload a photo to SkyscraperCity. Allowing members to do so would explode the site's bandwidth usage. However, posters can post photos indirectly in a simple process.

Post Photos from the Internet

Right click on an image that you wish to include in your post on SkyscraperCity.

Select "Properties" if you are using Internet Explorer. Highlight the URL address in the Properties window of the image. Copy this URL by pressing "CTRL" and "C" or selecting "Edit" and "Copy" from the menu bar. Select "Copy Image URL" if you are using Mozilla Firefox.

Open SkyscraperCity and log in to post.

Select the "Post Image" icon. Paste the URL of the copied online image into the "Post Image Icon" pop-up window. Press "OK." Type the rest of your post. Press "Post" to post it.

Host your photos on an online photo hosting platform. SkyscraperCity does not allow users to upload photos directly to the forum. Choose any free online photo hosting service, including: photobucket.com, imageshack.us and tinypic.com.

Follow the specific directions of the photo hosting site you chose to upload your photo to the Internet. In general, select "Browse" under your account on the hosting site. Browse your computer for the photo you wish to upload, select it, and press enter. Wait for the photo to upload. Highlight the URL that is usually listed below the photo on the hosting site. Copy this address.

Log in to your account on SkyscraperCity. Start a new post. Click the "Post Image" icon. Paste the URL address of the hosted photo. Press "OK."
