- Cookie sheet
- Waxed paper

- Plastic freezer bag

Create a spider web pattern. Draw the pattern on a sheet of white paper, or copy a pattern from a photograph or book. The pattern should have plenty of contrast so you can easily follow the lines of the web. Draw your pattern to the size you desire. For cupcakes, draw many small webs.

Place the pattern on a clean cookie sheet. Cover the pattern with a piece of waxed paper.

Fill the plastic bag with 1 cup of chocolate melting wafers. Heat the bag in the microwave in 30-second intervals, until the chocolate is smooth. Squeeze the bag after each heating interval to ensure the chocolate melts smoothly.

Snip one corner from the plastic bag. The smaller the opening, the finer the web; cut a small opening to start and test the chocolate until you have the line thickness you want.

Pipe the chocolate along the lines of the spider web using quick, steady motions. If the chocolate begins to harden, heat it in the microwave for another 20 to 30 seconds.

Put the cookie sheet with the completed webs into the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens. Remove the sheet from the fridge, and carefully peel the waxed paper from the webs to use on your desserts.
