How to Throw a Birthday Party for a 2-Year-Old Who Loves Hannah Montana
Hannah Montana, a fictional character played by actress and singer Miley Cyrus, stars in a Disney sitcom of the same name geared toward tweens and viewers in their early teens. However, younger children are attracted to the bright colors and catchy songs that are included in each episode. If your 2-year-old wants a birthday party with a "Hannah Montana" theme, there are plenty of ways to incorporate the colors and signature items from the show into a celebration that is age-appropriate. Create invitations for your 2-year-old's Hannah Montana birthday celebration by choosing invitation stock paper in the shape of a star or microphone. Let your child decorate the invites by adding glitter to one side of the star, or to the top of the microphone. Write the date, time and location of the party on a non-glittered section of the invitation, and mail them to friends and your child's fellow preschoolers three or four weeks before the party. Include RSVP information so you can put together a guest list well before the party date.

Contact your local bakery and arrange for a professional to prepare your toddler's Hannah Montana cake. Bring in a picture of Hannah Montana singing or dancing, or a copy of the show's logo for the baker to work with. It's best to do this well in advance, since many bakeries book up quickly. Of course, you can also bake the cake yourself and add the appropriate accents.

Purchase "Hannah Montana" music and episodes for the birthday party. If you plan to order online, make sure you do it at least two weeks in advance. A DVD of your toddler's favorite episodes makes a great present; a CD compilation of her favorite tunes from the show is a gift she and her guests will have fun dancing to.

Select themed party decorations. Buy large gold and purple balloons -- the color of the "Hannah Montana" logo -- to adorn the party site. Hot pink and purple combinations are also ideal for the party table, as the colors are featured on Hannah Montana toys. Hang posters of Hannah Montana on all the walls to complete the decor.

Prepare the party snacks a day or two in advance. Bake sugar cookies shaped like hearts, music notes or microphones, and let your 2-year-old help you dip the treats in icing and sprinkle pink and purple sugar on them. The cookies can also serve as party favors. Use the cookie cutters to create mini star-shaped grilled cheese sandwiches for the party, and fill small dishes to with fresh fruit to complete the event's menu.

Adorn the table with the snacks you've selected a few minutes before guests arrive. Wrap the extra cookies you've baked in pink or purple plastic wrap to give the children as they leave the party.

Play the "Hannah Montana" CD for the kids as they enjoy their food, then create a pile of blankets on the floor for them to watch the DVD after cake is served. Let the kids dance and sing along to the DVD until the party's end.
