How to Lace Your Sperrys
Sperry Top-Sider is a brand of footwear designed specifically as a boat shoe, though over the years it has become a popular fashion shoe. The top-side of the shoe is water and stain resistant, while the sole is non-slip. Even though Sperry's were designed as a boat shoe, they are used in casual wear as well due to their comfort and color varieties. Changing the laces on your Sperrys might be a bit difficult because of the lace eyelets go all around the cuff of the shoe. Use new laces to make the process easier. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Lay your shoes out on a table in front of you. Pick one of your shoes to start with and turn it so you can see the inside cuff.
-
2
Screw the tip of one of the laces into a lacing needle. Make sure the lace is screwed snugly into the lacing needed.
-
-
3
Stick the lacing needle into the eyelet on the bottom of the tongue of the shoe. Leave about six inches of lace hanging.
-
4
Thread the lacing needle from the bottom eyelet on the tongue of the shoe to the first eyelet on the near side of the shoes. Do not lace the top eyelet on the tongue of the shoe yet.
-
5
Follow this pattern all the way around the cuff of the shoe weaving the needle lace in and out of the eyelets until you reach the last eyelet on the opposite side of the shoe.
-
6
Thread the lacing needle from the last eyelet to bottom eyelet on the tongue just opposite where you started.
-
7
Lace your Sperrys in a cross-crossed pattern through the top eyelet on the tongue of the shoe.
