Say grace every night together at the dinner table. Gathering around the table to eat as a family is something many families have gotten away from. This is a lost opportunity not only to share time together as a family unit, but is also a wasted opportunity to share faith. Not only can you pray together as a family, but engage in conversation around the table on topics pertaining to your faith. Even small children can pick up on parts of the discussion and learn something valuable.

Schedule a regular night of the week where the family gathers together to study their religion. Traditionally the man of the house was responsible for educating his family in the ways of the faith. A regular night of family religious study is an excellent way to revive this tradition. Decide on the study topics together as a family, and feel free to get suggestions from your religious leader on how to conduct these family study sessions.

Conduct regular family meetings. Use these meetings as a venue for all family members to air their concerns or grievances without fear of punishment or judgment. The head of the house can offer suggestions to each member on how to solve their issue by using lessons from your religious texts. Family members can also use this time to show love and support of each other and offer prayers for those who are suffering spiritually.
