Instructions

  1. Coca-Cola Glaze

    • 1

Pour 10 oz. of Coca-Cola into a saucepan. Reduce the liquid on medium-high heat for 10 to 15 minutes.

    • 2

Add half a cup of ketchup, 1 tbsp. of spicy mustard and one clove of minced garlic to the reduced Coca-Cola.

    • 3

Lower the temperature and allow the mixture to simmer for another 10 to 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

    • 4

Remove the mixture from the heat and pour it over the entire meat loaf.

    Coca-Cola Crock Pot

    • 5

Place the beef loin or beef stew meat in a crock pot.

    • 6

Add one 12 oz. can of Coca-Cola to the crock pot.

    • 7

Add one packet of onion soup mix to your ingredients.

    • 8

Set the crock pot on the low setting. Allow the meat to cook for 8 to 10 hours.

    • 9

Check the meat after 8 to 10 hours of cooking. The length of the cooking time directly correlates to how tender the meat is. If you are satisfied with the meat's tenderness, you can stop cooking. If you desire more tender meat, however, you can allow it to cook longer.

Tips & Warnings

  • The longer you cook the meat in Coca-Cola, the more the soft drink becomes an accent as opposed to a prominent part of the flavor profile.

  • People on low sugar diets should not use this recipe as Coca-Cola is very high in sugar content.
