How to Get a Keynote Presentation Onto an iPad

  1. Download Keynote for iPad App

      Tap the "App Store" icon on your iPad Home screen. The store home page loads. Enter "Keynote" into the search feature, and then select the official Apple Keynote for iPad app in the list of results that appears. The app's information page loads.

      Tap the price button, followed by the "Buy Now" button. Enter your Apple ID password into the "Password" field of the pop-up prompt that appears.

      Click the "OK" button of the pop-up prompt to continue with the purchase and to install the app. Keynote downloads to one of your Home screens.

    Save Keynote Presentation from Mac

      Connect the iPad to your computer with the iPad USB sync cable.

      Open iTunes if the program doesn't launch automatically. Locate the "Devices" heading in the iTunes sidebar. Select the iPad's name from the "Devices" heading.

      Click the "Apps" pane. The Apps sync window opens.

      Select "Keynote" from the File Sharing section of the Apps page. Then click the "Add" button. A browse window opens.
