How to Create a World Terrain Painting for "The Sims"
Rather than allow creative Sims to paint whatever image the game randomly generates, instruct the Sim to paint the world terrain. For example, if you are playing "The Sims 2," paint the desert terrain on a lot in Strangetown. Sims can paint in all three sets of Sims games, but players only have the ability to tell the Sim what to paint in "The Sims 2" and "The Sims 3." Only Sims with five or more creativity skills can choose what to paint, according to IGN. Instruct the Sim to do various activities, like painting or playing the piano, to increase the creativity skill to the proper level.

Leave the Sim alone to paint the image. If the Sim leaves the painting, do not tell another Sim to use the easel before the painting is finished. The new Sim will throw out the old painting. When the painting is done, you can sell it or hang it on the wall. The finished painting enters the Sim's inventory. Click on it to sell it.
