Type your document in WordPad, and then insert a photo.

WordPad is Microsoft's basic word-processing program. It does not allow users to format advanced documents, graphs or reference citations. However, you can insert objects and images into a WordPad document. For example, if you have typed a paragraph in WordPad and would like to insert a picture along side it, you can do this by following a simple process.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open a new WordPad document.

    • 2

Type your paragraph in the document.

    • 3

Click your cursor in the body of the text where you would like to insert the photo. For example, if you want the photo on the side of the paragraph, then click your cursor at the end of a line.

    • 4

Click "Insert" on the toolbar, then "Object." Click the circle beside "Create from File," then "Browse." Locate your image, and double-click it. Click "OK," and the image will appear in your paragraph.
