Instructions

1. Open the text messaging application on your phone and create a new text message.

2. Enter "40404" into the "To:" field.

3. Type "OFF" as the body of the message. This will turn off all Twitter updates except direct messages.

4. Send another message to "40404" containing "STOP" if you also want to turn off direct messages.
