How to Upload to FTP on Macs
The File Transfer Protocol was invented in the 1970s and has undergone several revisions since that time. FTP was created so that a computer system can upload and download files to and from a remote computer system. Apple Macintosh computers run the Mac OS X operating system, which has built-in support for limited FTP functionality. You can upload to an FTP server on a Mac through the Finder interface.
