Customize the signature on BlackBerry emails to personalize your messages.

Including a signature with your emails is a useful way to make sure that contacts have your correct name, job title and contact details. If you send emails from a BlackBerry mobile device then you can include this information in a customized signature on all your email messages. You can customize a signature for BlackBerry email messages with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software on your computer or by accessing the "Email Settings" function on the BlackBerry handset.

Instructions

  1. Customize a BlackBerry Email Signature on Your Computer

    • 1

      Launch BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

    • 2

Click "Email Settings" to open the email settings screen.

    • 3

Select "General" from the left-hand menu.

    • 4

Find the "Signature" section. Type your preferred signature information into the text input box under "Signature." You can customize this by including whatever information you feel is relevant but you might want to include your full name, job title, employer, phone and email contact details.

    • 5

Click "Apply." The BlackBerry will now append your signature to all outgoing email messages.

    • 7

Click "Menu" and then select "Options."

    • 8

Select "Email Settings" and click the trackball. Move the trackball cursor to the "Use Auto Signature field and click "Yes." This displays a text input box.

    • 9

Type your preferred signature information in the text input box.

    • 10

Click "Menu" and select "Save." The BlackBerry will now append your signature to all outgoing email messages.

Tips & Warnings

  • BlackBerry stores your email signature on the email server rather than on the device so you might have to wait a few minutes before the customized signature displays on your sent emails.
