How to Restart Skype History

Restart your SKype history to remove all records of your previous messages, calls and file transfers.

Skype maintains a record of your account's actions and events, such as instant messages and calls, by default. You can clear and restart the history for your Skype account by accessing the privacy settings in the control panel within the program. All of your previous recorded history for your instant messages, SMS messages, voicemails, calls and file transfers will be deleted if you choose to restart your history. You will not be able to recover the history once it is restarted.

Instructions

1. Open Skype.

2. Enter your Skype username and password and click the "Sign In."

3. Click "Skype" in the menu bar of the program and select "Privacy."

4. Click the "Clear History" button under the "Keep history for" section.

5. Click the "Save" button.
