How to Remove a Firefox RSS Icon From the Address Bar

Versions of the Firefox Web browser prior to Firefox 4 feature an RSS, or real simple syndication, icon in the address bar that indicates when an RSS feed is present on a website. Clicking the RSS feed icon directs you to a screen that lets you subscribe to the feed using a feed reader. In the most up-to-date version of Firefox, the feed icon has been removed from the address bar and is now an optional icon that can be displayed in the toolbar. Whatever version of Firefox you are using, you can easily remove the icon from the address bar or toolbar to reduce interface clutter.
