How to Talk to a Guy on MSN
MSN Messenger, now Windows Live, is one way you can meet guys online. You can use the service to find men and chat through the instant messenger, using their profiles to find similar interests between the two of you. Keep in mind when chatting on MSN you should avoid sarcasm or joking until you know someone well. This type of language does not transfer well over chatting because you cannot see facial expressions or hear the tone in their voice.

Send an IM to the guy you want to chat with including a short introduction on who you are. Explain where you live, your interests and age. Explain why you are contacting him. For example "I saw you're a Strokes fan, I am too" or simply "Your profile looked interesting." Be sure not to give out too much personal information until you know each other well.

Ask the guy open-ended questions about his life and interests. An open-ended question requires more than a yes or no question and provides you with options to further explore his interests. Ask questions related to his interests to show you want to learn about him.

4
Share information about yourself. Sometimes guys are afraid to ask questions; it's okay to share things that you enjoy as well. If you provide information he can ask questions pertaining to these topics. Do not share your contact information or secrets until you are sure you can trust each other.
