How to Baste Stitch Using a Brother Model Xl-5130
If you want your fabric to stay in place but don't want to risk getting stuck by pins, use a baste stitch. A baste stitch is a long stitch used to temporarily hold fabric into place before making the final stitches. The baste stitch is often used for fittings so the sewer can see how the fabric will fit before sewing the final seams. The Brother XL- 5130 sewing machine can make a baste stitch if you adjust the stitch length.
