Print pictures to keep in your notebook as a keepsake.

Gone are the days of waiting days or even hours to have your own set of digital prints. You now have the option of doing the work on your own. Whether you're working on a makeshift scrapbook or just keeping photos in a notebook, you don't have to rely on photo experts. Instead, gather your supplies and learn the keys to getting high quality digital prints on your own.

Instructions

    • 1

Upload your photos to a computer software that will allow you to view and edit each frame. If the features allow it, enhance the quality of the image by softening harsh lines, cropping out unnecessary background items, and correcting the color. If your photo appears blurry or has a low quality look as you edit it, you can expect the same once it's printed out.

Pick out an inkjet printer for this project. It doesn't have to be very expensive. But it should be able to churn out good quality digital prints at home. Instead of buying a new printer, contact the manufacturer to get downloads of the latest software, called drivers, for the printer.

Use photo paper, rather than office paper, for printing the photos. It's more expensive, but it's a great way to ensure the photos last.

    • 4

Choose the photos that you'd like to have printed and then print them out. If prompted to do so, change the options so that photo printing is selected.
