ISBN, or International Standard Book Number, is a number assigned to publishers and self-publishers for their particular country to identify book titles for ordering purposes. ISBN numbers were 10 digits in the past; however, according to ISBN, in January 2007, the ISBN number became 13 digits. If you have a 10-digit ISBN number and want to get an ISBN-13 number, use the online converter supplied by ISBN to begin using the new 13-digit ISBN numbers.
