How to Remove & Disable the Sidebar in Windows Vista
The Windows Vista sidebar holds widgets or gadgets to enhance your computer using experience. Vista comes pre-packaged with certain widgets you can use. You can also download third party widgets from the Microsoft website. The drawback to using the sidebar is that it takes up a large part of your Vista screen. You can easily close the sidebar for a single computing instance, or you can permanently disable the sidebar until you want to use it again.
