How to Set Your Thumbnail in Facebook

How to Set Your Thumbnail in Facebook thumbnail
Customize your Facebook profile picture thumbnail image.

Images come in all shapes and sizes, but the thumbnail image of your Facebook profile picture is a set size that you can't change. The thumbnail image usually includes just the portion of your Facebook profile picture that fits within the thumbnail frame. You can avoid the embarrassment of having the top or bottom of your head cut off on the thumbnail image by altering which part of your main profile picture is included in the thumbnail frame. You can set your thumbnail profile image on Facebook with the "Change Picture" tool.

    • 1

Launch your Web browser and sign in to Facebook.

    • 2

Click the "Profile" link on the top menu of your Facebook homepage.
