How to Set Ringtones on HTC EVOs

Cellphones are increasingly popular, with many people carrying one at all times. Make your HTC Evo unique by customizing the ringtone, so you can recognize your cellphone's ringer in most any crowd. Add a ringtone from your computer or select a ringtone that is already on the phone.

Instructions

On the Phone

1. Tap the "Settings" option on the home screen of the phone.

2. Touch "Sound & Display" followed by "Phone Ringtone."

3. Locate the ringtone you want to set. Touch the ringtone then tap "OK."

On PC

1. Connect your phone to your computer with the USB cable. Tap "Disk Drive" on the phone's display. Select "Done."

2. Right-click your "Windows Explorer" icon. Locate the music files and copy them from the hard drive then paste them on the memory card of the phone.

3. Disconnect the phone from your computer. Tap "All Programs" followed by "Music." Touch the name of the song you want to assign as a ringtone. Touch "Menu" then select "Set as Ringtone."
