Confirm that the crime you would like to report is eligible for online reporting. The incident must not be an emergency and must have occurred within the limits of unincorporated Orange County, Florida. Incidents also must have no known suspects. To report an incident online, you must also be at least 18 years of age.

Verify that the type of crime you would like to report is eligible for online reporting. Online crime reports can be completed for lost or missing property, identity theft, theft, lost or stolen license plates, vehicle burglary, public or private vandalism and criminal mischief, vandalism to a vehicle, and harassing phone calls. Other non-emergency crimes must be reported by calling the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Visit the Orange County Florida Online Reporting System at the Orange County Sheriff's Office website to report your incident. After selecting the type of incident being reported (that is, lost property, identity theft, theft, lost or stolen license plate, vehicle burglary, harassing phone calls, vandalism, or vandalism to vehicle), you will be directed to the online police report.

Complete the online police report. In addition to identifying the type of crime you are reporting, you will be asked to provide your personal and contact details in case deputies are required to contact you for additional information. You also will be asked to provide details about the incident in order to assist deputies in their review of the incident you are reporting and, if needed, begin an investigation.

Print a copy of the police report for your records. After completing and submitting the police report, you will see a new page with the words "Your report has been submitted." Your report will be given a case number and you will be sent a confirmation and unofficial copy of the police report to your email address, if you provided one.

To report an incident where there are known suspects or an incident involving the theft of a firearm, you must contact the Orange County Sheriff's Office at 407-836-HELP (407-836-4357) and have the report taken by a deputy.
