How to Draw a Standing Rabbit

A standing rabbit is simple enough to draw that a child can accomplish it with a little practice.

Rabbits are not difficult animals to draw. A standing rabbit can be sketched using simple shapes, making it an ideal animal for the beginning artist to attempt. Using these simple shapes, you can draw a standing rabbit with just a few strokes of your pencil.

Things You'll Need

• Pencil
• Paper

Instructions

1. Draw two ears to get started. Each ear should point toward the top of the paper and look like one loop of a shoestring when it's being tied. These two shapes represent the rabbit's ears.

2. Draw an oval that begins between the ears. This is the rabbit's face. Draw two circles on this oval for your rabbit's eyes, an upside down triangle beneath the eyes for your rabbit's nose, and three horizontal lines extending from both sides of the nose for whiskers.

3. Draw another oval beneath the head. This oval should be larger than the head. It is the body of your rabbit. Draw two small curved lines at about chest level to represent your rabbit's front legs. Draw a small half-circle at the end of each of these lines for the rabbit's feet.

4. Draw two curved lines at the bottom of the body (curves facing up) to create the back feet of the rabbit. This will be your rabbit's back feet and create the illusion of the rabbit sitting on its bottom.
